First of all download the tool from the following links:
You’ll get “WindowsUpdate.diagcab” and “wu10.diagcab” files respectively from the above-mentioned download links.
Now run the Windows Update Troubleshooter tool and you’ll get the following screen:
Click on the “Advanced” link given at the bottom and then click on the “Run as administrator” link. It’ll reload the troubleshooter tool with administrator rights.
Now click on the Next button and the tool will start troubleshooting all issues related to Windows Update present in your system.
Once it finds an issue, it’ll show you 2 buttons: Apply this fix and Skip this fix. You can click on the “Apply this fix” button to fix the issue immediately. If you think that the issue found by the tool is not important or you don’t want to fix that issue, you can click on the “Skip this fix” button and the tool will continue the troubleshooting process. Once it detects and fixes all issues present in your system, it’ll show a summary of all issues checked and found in your system.
